My techalogical cup has runneth over…
First there was the new preciousand now there is a new lapdog.
You may remember that the old lapdog, lovingly known as Dell, was a gift. I may or may not have told you that… but there you have it, it was a gift from a v. good friend.
It was/is still a v.good computer and has given me v. little trouble except for the usual wear and tear on the power cable (which has been replaced 2x, ka-ching) and today, a facelift for the hood (bonnet) due to butterfingery droppage in the dim, dark past which has just come back to haunt me (wherein cracks turned into Pieces Which Fall Off).
I’m posting this from the [now known as] Dear Old Dell (or DOD) with it’s new sleeker cleaner hood and while I’m v. grateful to the Captain for my v. pretty new lapdog [who shall be called Foogee] I shall be a bit sad to relinquish full reliance on DOD. For a start it’s MINE whereas Foogee belongs to the boss… and it’s blue whereas the newbie is shiny silver… which is a bit, well, ordinary…
Of course Foogee is wicked fast and the screen is nice and shiny, and it has a card reader in it so I can slot phone pix into it and it’s fast to turn on and off and it’s speakers are nicer than the Dell’s which were buggered within 6 months of getting it…
But… it, well lacks that sort of, sentimental connection… That sigh of hello, that someone loved you enough to give me to you greeting…
Bah… who am I kidding…
I’ve got a new lapdog… It’s ace!!!!

Inanimation
I’ve been a bit of a hopeless blogger lately, too much going on, too tired, too busy… So I’ve been exercising my creative bits with the ‘precious…’ instead of with the computer (more about that later) Anyway, for a bit of a look at todays efforts you can go here…
Day the First – A Study in Tardiness
For her first lecture our heroine is, not 10, not 25, not 50 but 65 minutes late for her first class!
I can tell she’s going to be really good at this studying stuff…
The Airhead and the Control Freak
In recent years, both in the [church] circles I move in and in the blog world there has been a distinct increase in the availability and use of personality testing tools. By these I mean tools which describe how a person operates, that describe what motivates them and what distinguishes them from other people.
I have over the years been described as.
Sanguine (Airhead)
Choleric (Control Freak)
Artist (Creative)
Mover (Control Freak)
ESTJ (an anomoly)
ISTJ (much closer to the truth).
These tests are all good and well, and upon occasion could quite adequately describe me. I’m actually ok with that too, not because it pigeonholes me (widely considered by many to be their biggest detraction) but because it gives me an excuse.
An excuse for totally forgetting a friend’s engagement party – and for accepting a babysitting job instead.
Do you think I should spend the [big] money I earned on the present?
