Y.G.M (You’ve Got Mail) has been sending and receiving numerous emails this week through the above mentioned G.O.D.S. It has been an interesting correspondence; me, my usual witty self, chatting blithely away about little and nothing and him, responding with interest and with the same. There would appear to be a distinct lack of similarities in our makeup which leads me to believe that we are destined simply for emails which may slowly taper off as different interests develop. Still, tis proving enjoyable and not at all disturbing for now…
Which leads me to wonder how it is possible to tell whether chemistry can be transmitted via cyber space. In this particular instance have decided that it hasn’t been, confirmed by receipt of his photo this morning.
He appears not to be an axe wielding maniac which is a relief but also appears to be the kind of person to whom I might not glance at twice if I am strictly honest. Is that a shocking kind of admission?
Gah … It appears I am a shallow girl after all…
B***er

Speed dating, oh my goodness, that reminds me of uni – only it part of normal life for most people there…
I have one good friend who met his partner online, and they are a most unusual couple, he 21 and a bit obsessive/compulsive, she 35 and a single mum. Not sure what my point is… maybe jsut don’t give up on chemistry without at least a few phone calls?

This chemistry business was what I found most difficult about the dating site thing – I think because I communicate well in the written medium there were a few times where there seemed to be a shedload of chemistry, which just seemed to disappear in a split-second pffft when we actually met. No idea what the answer is.
Your blog is bringing back plenty of memories though! Maybe if I’m plied with enough beer I’ll try the speed dating at Greenbelt – though it will have to be a *lot* of beer!
