I had dinner with an old friend tonight – don’t you love having people in your world with whom you just pick up where you left off and the intervening years just disappear?
Maisie is visiting from NZ and I got a refresher course in speaking with a NZ accent. I will go back to work in the morning and get a working over for sounding once more like a Kiwi… I think it was worth it for the evening we had tonight.
Maisie is an artist, and her New Zealand landscapes are enough to make me weep for being homesick. I think I will be making a website for her in the future… maybe I can trade it off for a painting or an illustration or two for a book!
Correspondence with YGM2 continues… though no new news to report. I am pretty conflicted about him but smart enough not to write him off on the basis of one meeting…
