Out There

It was really great to see you on Saturday night. In hindsight, I wished I'd kept the numbers a little smaller. Not that there were that many…but it would have been nice for you to have a chance to get to chat with Big a bit more. He's a great guy. You have a lot in common.

Anyway, if you are interested we'll try again some time.

It was a great night, and not a little freaky as to the elements we do have in common from the conversation we did have… so, yes, interested in hanging out again and also forward enough to say you’re welcome to pass on my number/email – on the off chance you are as up front with him as you are with me as to the reason you have been so energetic about putting us in the same room…

And now I’ll sign off, because if I don’t I won’t send this…

Potential

May 6, 2007 by

I may have been heard to say, ‘It only takes a day for things to change’ and then abbreviated it to say ‘It only takes 5 minutes for things to change’
I’m quietly considering that yesterday may have been that day.
And that’s all I have to say about that.

Living with a Genius

May 4, 2007 by

I know that every mother thinks her child is just the cleverest prettiest/handsomest of all the children. And this is only right. There are some inherent difficulties in living with such clever individuals though. They are hard to keep up with.
My precious nemesis has been meditating on how to escape from the house. Be it when I am at home and am concerned about him being out in rabbit territory, or when I am at work and he has been left with the run of the apartment rather than placing his confident self in danger on the road.
So, when I arrived home on Wednesday after the conference you’ll understand my surprise to find himself wending his way around my feet on the wrong side of the door! By all appearances he had snuck out of my bedroom from through my louvre windows.
I thought, at first that this was perhaps a fluke, maybe I’d left the window a bit open. This was not the case for the following afternoon there he was again… “Hi Mum, aren’t I clever? What’s for dinner?”
I have since discovered that the louvres do in fact have a locking mechanism and so I’m sure he was a bit disappointed this morning to find his hatch blocked up.
Yessir, that’s my baby.

Have you been to I Can Has Cheezburger?I’m loving their LOLcats action. Keep your eye on them, I’ve submitted some of Chi’s pix… he deserves to be famous!
