I’ve been meaning to alert the troops for ages that a great friend of this blog Red is in the running for fame and glory in SA this week. She wrote a brilliant serial for Can you Twist? a ‘reality blogging’ event.
Her story is ace, check the site out, read the story and see the pictures of the twist come to life! And then VOTE FOR HER.
Because if you don’t? Well… let’s just say, I know where you live… I know people, who know people…
You have to register to vote, and when you do you’re voting for the name that looks like it should sound like bagel. It doesn’t. But there’s no way I could do justice to the Afrikaans pronunciation.. you’ll just have to read Red’s blog for that.
Anyway… VOTE ‘K? Coz this would be really good for Red’s Soul.

One thing though: Your readers are used to a certain (very high, so high, it’s close to unattainable to the rest of us) standard. So they HONESTLY needn’t read my story! But if they do lower themselves to do it (and they probably will, because they are so loyal to you, I’m afraid that they’ll do EVERYTHING you say) please let them note that my story didn’t have QUITE as many grammar/spelling/punctuation errors in it when I submitted it. I can only assume that the editor had been driven to drink by the time that the fifth chick lit story rolled across his desk.
