Blowing Our Trumpet

March 12, 2007 by

Well, I’m going to out myself just a tiny bit here and show off a project my work/church has produced which is just about released…

We’ve done a new album, a process I used to be really heavily involved in. Life changed, I changed, the world got turned upside down and for a long time I haven’t been wholly appreciative of the music we turned out. But… having stuck it during the intervening years – and while sometimes I still have the occasional ‘moment’ about it I do have to say we’ve come a long way.

Seriously. I know there are a bunch of thoughts about church music, and I LOVE me some hymns and trad numbers… but just for 5 minutes check your usual church music expectations at the door and go here for a preview of ‘Here We Go’ the next offering from CCC Oxford Falls. It’s quite a church, like nothing I ever thought I’d be into, and by no means perfect – but it’s home to me.

And we like, totally rock out, on a Sunday…

The Faeries at the Bottom of My Garden…

March 8, 2007 by

Well, it isn’t as though I’ve a large garden. And actually, the people living here before me had an infant… So I’m not sure just how the garden got as decorated as it did. So I’m blaming faeries.

As I lay out on the lawn last weekend just enjoying the last afternoon of summer I began to notice all these hidden gems… Sorry, it’s a 4.5mb flash file which may be a bit of a nightmare for dial-uppers… But, I took out the camera just to see how many of them I could capture…

Edited. If you wait long enough the box will magically transform into a slide show… sorry, didn’t have the gear for a fancy flash loader thinggummy…

Edited again: A small matter of an id10t error… it still worked for me but hopefully…. we should be back in business…

So what’s a the bottom of your garden?
