Rescheduled D – Day to Saturday …
D Day Mark II
Bliss bought James Taylor’s “Live at the Beacon Theatre” on DVD … hence the proliferation of James tracks in the Morning Songs … he really is a fab songwriter and one of my Favourite Songs EVER is on it… Shower the People .. and the other one is Your Smiling Face… Lovely… Just Lovely. I am watching it even now at 6.45am. Perfect way to start the day!
Anyway – D Day …
D = Date…
OMG …
YGM2 is planning to meet me for lunch today … but I believe I am going to have to reschedule lunch to somewhere nearer 5pm …
There really is not enough time to go somewhere decent and come back to the office within the alotted hour I get for lunch. Especially as lunch went for 3 hours yesterday….
I guess if I was feeling brave I could suggest lunch at the on site cafe … hmmmm
Yeah Right!!! – ’tis hardly desirable to have one’s first meeting in front of my whole raft of colleagues who would get wind of it and parade through the cafe to get a closer look …
Not a good idea at all…

The First Day of Anything
There are landmark days and in my mind they are usually the first of something … and so here is a meditation on the first day …
1. The first day of school – fear
2. The first day of work – independence
3. The first day of piano lessons – failure
4. The first day of your period (sorry boys) – womanhood
5. The first day of Lent – denial
6. The first day of January – discipline
7. The first day of summer – freedom
8. The first day of marriage – bliss
9. The first day of parenthood – joy
10. The first day of church – community
Today was the first day of my new job. It promises much that it has been a long time since I had …
Independent thought
Freedom from oppression
Responsibility without Fear
Respect for my time, my person, my skill & my talent
Appreciation for a job well done
Isn’t it incredible that you can go for 2.8 years without realising what you were missing?…
It’s a new day for me and I couldn’t be more thrilled.
