The Big Thing for Boys is in full swing…

I got up particularly early to be here and register them all for next years Boys Big Thing and now that the 1st session is in, well, session I am at my desk with a pounding head and a cold coffee getting ready for the next round.

Now, there could be considered some benefit at spending the whole day at a conference for men when you are a single girl on the look out. But most of them are wearing gold… and it is a slightly awkward feeling actually being such a minority… almost like being in another culture. And to tell the truth it seems us girls here are being viewed with a certain amount of suspicion by the delegates… like we are going to find out those secret men’s business secrets that we have no business knowing!! Not an ideal breeding ground for romance!

In other news, I found out today that I do in fact have Monday off in lieu, no one had mentioned it because they were afraid we were going to expect hour for hour of an exchange for the work we have put in, and you can’t be doing with that can you?

[insert quizzically raised eyebrow…]

Enervated

November 19, 2004 by

I have been SO tired this week, with no explanation but for one night when I was sleepless till 2am… It doesnt make sense, I guess I could be eating better and really should make good on my threat to get hold of some Berocca to boost me up a bit… that and some dynamite perhaps… Consequently I have been lacking in inspiration for posting blogs… Would remedy that over the weekend but Ache will be back here tomorrow to use the computer… It is costing her breakfast and dinner so I am reasonably relaxed about it.. I may even go into the office at work and use my new supercomputer to finish off the Singular Girl template… Still learning CSS so that could take some time and using GoLive and Photoshop to do it is an attractive option…

I have a secret that I can’t tell you till Monday, I am DYING to let it out… but I am under contract not to (!!!!) I am feeling very blessed to be put in the path of some very fun opportunities and am taking one up on Sunday… That’s about all I can say about that…

Acutally, I am doing as Yay did this week and posting before work and because doing so has a tendency to make me late, I really should be downing Dell and getting ready for work… Gah

Pig in Mud

I have 3, count them 3 monitors on my desk… starting to feel much more like a SPHTML*. Admittedly there are only two computers, one monitor is the laptop one which is connected to a bigger brighter stand alone 17in beauty…

Anyway, I have lots more to post but really should be working… Just had to let some of the excitement out before I burst …

Sunday has come and gone, almost with no remarkable features at all!!! Reading, Writing and Laundry* – with a quick jaunt out to get a hold of some lunch as there is no food in this house…

None.

Am about to go to church with a mission to do screens in a faultless fashion tonight… Hoping tomorrows blog will read “mission accomplished” But believe the pastor has a powerpoint presentation this evening… leaving early to practice it… Last time I was on and Powerpoint was involved… Bad news… very bad news… Embarrassment all round.

Had thought YGM2 may be joining me at church but believe he has opted out as I will be in serious concentration and not available for chatting during the service…

*never underestimate the absolute joy of having a washing machine (that works) in your own home… After almost a year (possibly more) ours has been repaired and I no longer have to toddle off to the wash-o-matic to get clean knickers etc… The tragic thing is, a friend did the repair job and it cost us nothing… I could have saved hundreds if I had asked him to look at it a year ago…

Sigh
