Weekend Round Up

October 30, 2005 by

The perfect start to a weekend, ok… so it’s Sunday, but after spending all day Friday and Saturday at the annual ‘chickfest’ then Sunday feels like the beginning of the weekend… particularly as I don’t plan on going into the office on Monday… the chickfest is considered work… especially as I spent the whole time being the tech head in the overflow venue (2000 women is too many to fit in our main auditorium…)

The better part of the morning was to meet Lemly and Rhys! And of course to hook up with Ian and Miss Lisa again (I mean, I see ML regularly… but always nice to see you love!!!), it never ceases to amaze me that I know so much about the lives of people I’ve never met!!! Wiblogs trip me out that way… Sadly Yay was unable to join us this time… maybe next time!!

So… who’s going to be the next Swansea wiblogger to visit???

I’d like to introduce the latest member of the Singular family…

Another nephew, bringing the ratio of boys to girls to 4:1.

He has a name… It’s lovely…

… and it’s a secret…

Welcome to the world little chap… I’ll see you in April

xxx love Aunty Dee

Novelty

October 25, 2005 by

Boy Oh Boy… I got brave this morning…
I have been going around telling my friends that I’ve had a novel idea about a novel for the last month.
I lied. Actually it’s been about 5 years and in the last month it has actually begun to crystalise into something that could turn out to be quite interesting…
The thing is, I don’t actually know how to start, and as I have been aware that November was creeping up I decided that the best way to start is actually to just get on with it… So… I signed up for NaNoWriMo where the expectation is simply that you’ll write… it doesn’t have to be that great…
I can live with that… and at least I’ll get this thing out of me before it kills me.
