I had all sorts of blogging plans for the evening and got scuppered…
“Toontown” an online game that I discovered while entertaining Angel’s 5 year old son who came to work with her today. It was great fun watching while he played and I have to confess I had to come home and download the 3 day trial package to play at home… Problem number 1 … Broadband doesn’t arrive till Friday… the download is a longwinded sort of process on Dial-Up. (Actually, isn’t everything???).
Solution Number 1. I am a patient sort and finally all was downloaded and the phrase “Let the games begin” was the order of the day.
Problem Number 2. The game is addictive. At least, for me… Tragic… but true.
Solution Number 2. Enforce evicition from my connection… the thrall is broken and I can get back to blogging…
Problem Number 3. I had coffee with a prospective flatmate. This is actually not a problem but it delayed bed time… Actually, I feel very good about the possibility of Flick moving in. She will let me know by Friday, so a prayer or 3 that if it is the “right thing” she will know would be appreciated… And if it is “not the right thing” an alternative is forthcoming soon.
I had a little chat to God about his tendency to make one hold out to the last minute as if to test one’s faith that he will come through. I made it a bit clear that I truly believe that he will bring the right person along, in the right time, etc.. etc.. etc.. and asked if he could accept that bit of faith as a downpayment on future faith tests as I would appreciate that this particular issue in my world be settled without the usual nail biting finale…
Time will tell.
Anyway… that bit of blogging is not as exciting as I might have liked… I am wrecked so se…. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Yeah, been there myself. Looking back, everything worked out well and just when it was supposed to. At the time, it was hopelessly last minute and caused a lot of worrying!
Sympathies, and remember that though it may be last minute, there is still a solution!

your bit about God’s last minute solutions made me smile. I guess I recognise myself there too.
