Prayers Eagerly Sought

November 14, 2005 by

Hey Team,

Just checking in to ask for prayer support for the whole of this week.

We are running a city wide event hosting an high profile American preacher in the largest indoor venue in Sydney.
It’s the first time our church has put something this big together, and we’ve done in in 3 months (which, quite frankly questions our sanity) but we have great hopes (and faith) that the message he brings will impact our city for great good.

I’m thrilled to be a part of it as one of the official photographers!! A fun job… but not without its concerns… I’m using a new digital rig which is exciting and terrifying at the same time, and I really want to do the organizers faith in me justice!!

So please pray, that the event will run smoothly thanks to all the New South Welsh versions of Chops we have helping us out, that the team stays gracious in the midst of stress and that the 1000 volunteers we have remain gracious also.

Also that I can relax into the task, that God will sharpen my eye for the best pictures and that I won’t shake and drop the camera when I have to photograph Guy Sebastian at the kid’s programme on Wednesday night.

Finally, and above all, that the event will bring glory not to us, but to our God and that despite differences there may be in the expressions of faiths of the people attending that the message will transcend the expression.

Many thanks

D

I’ll be praying for you and the crew. The crew there are pro’s just trust their opinions. I am sure they are even used to working with churches after the other mob. Churches do provide plenty of challenges for us event types.

Already praying for the admittedly miraculous ie the press/media gets over itself and reports (if it does!) in an unbiased fashion :) …
