Yule Love it Here

December 4, 2005 by

It is a bit unprepossesing in the grand scheme of Christmas trees I guess… There is a bit of a trad red and green theme, but no colour co-ordinated designer decorations to fit a Home Beautiful seasonal theme!! Ah well, I’m more Home Comfortable myself…
But… this tree holds a collection of decorations that recall memories, stories and events that make Christmas my favourite time of year!
Last year the tree stayed in the cupboard and the house was the poorer for it. The Count was living here over the summer and it felt a bit personal to make the house home like that while he was here. Strange but true.
But this year it’s out in all its glory and over the next little while I’m thinking I’ll let you in on some of those memories and show off the decorations that bring them back!

It looks like a perfect tre to me – one that belongs to a real person & has some meaning attached to it, not some corporate udea of picture perfect:-)

greetings! we too have a homey tree. we go out and buy a noble fir, and string it with popcorn, hang candy canes, and toss on a few red and blue bulbs (fewer every year as they break) this year has our sons first ornament on it, as well as my husbands boba fett!

great colour scheme :) …. I too like decorations with meaning … we have a tree in our house too but, sharing with 4 others, we have had to go for the ‘colour scheme’ idea instead of personal decorations … but it’s still GREAT!
