Game On and On

July 14, 2005 by Dee

Today was another sick day. I am not dying and as I have a massive meeting at the office tomorrow I will be back on deck in the morning. Probably coughing up a lung as I go…
To keep me occupied today I watched the remainder of LOTR and loved it… Actually I was surprised at how emotionally involved I got with the characters.
Scary. When it finished I felt all sad, like you do when you have been involved in a collective project that ends, like friends were leaving, like someone I read everyday had finished blogging…
Anyway, because if I spent the whole day being depressed about LOTR being over I would have been a sad case indeed I went looking for games on the web.
I found some.

  • Hapland
  • Hapland 2
  • Crimson Room
  • Viridian Room
  • The Doors

Actually I had played the Crimson and Viridian Rooms before but the Haplands and the Doors are done and game over now… and not easily figured out without a little external help. But fun all the same…
Now there’s rubbish on telly for the evening.
Sigh…
Best find some more things to play.

Lord of The Sheets

July 13, 2005 by

Being tucked up in bed for the 2nd time this week I decided that a trip to Middle Earth was long overdue.

Given that I hail from the modern equivalent it may come as a surprise to some that I have never seen the movies, (actually, bar the 1st one dvd some years ago…)

[quietly blushes]

So today, now that the mucus has moved from my head to my chest I have adjourned the telly to the bedroom and am watching Lord of the Rings from the comfort of my doona nest.

I have all 3 volumes.

And am watching them Back to Back.

Happily I only have the extended version of volume three or else I would be here all night as well, dreaming of Orcs and Elves.

At this point I am nearly through The Two Towers and Merry and Pippin are encouraging the trees to take part in the war.

I like it…

Indeed I do. And apologise wholeheartedly to Fi for having taken so long to partake!

It’s on its Way.

July 12, 2005 by

Well, finally my WISE parcel is winging its way across the oceans to my WISEE… Actually it will be once the mail is collected from the office this afternoon… so that in itself is a clue but here is another more cryptic type clue, and to help you … because it’s rather cryptic, it is written with words already used by my WISEE in her blog… *grin* And if I tell you that she is someone who is wont to use rather a lot of words I believe I may have given the game away altogether!

Clue Three.
“Hmmm… not so good … his illicit visit scarecly made him look a little like an interloper, his plans of staying in situ were thwarted, putting an end to their night-time natterings.”

Sickness and Drill Bits

July 11, 2005 by

Miss Lisa asked in the comments yesterday if I owned a drill.

I do not… I’d have nothing to drill with it really. But someone in my building has one and is employing it in a most distressing manner today.

I am at home with a cold. Nothing too serious, just an overabundance of mucus (blech…) and a cough. I can tolerate it well enough but to preserve friendly relations with my workmates I am nursing it at home rather than spreading the love to them…

However,

I would rather be at work than listening to the constant teeth jaggering drilling that is going on next door. Or downstairs, or outside… I don’t know where it’s coming from but it is reverberating quite thoroughly through my living room walls and I have had it up to here.

Wherever here is.

[stomps back off to bed to put her earplugs in]

Sorry for the grumps I will be happier tomorrow I think.
