I’m It

May 22, 2005 by

Fi tagged me today… So, here goes…

1.Total number of movies I own on DVD/Video:
When Harry Met Sally (v)
Sense and Sensibility (v)
Emma (v)
Pride and Prejudice (v)
Amelie (d)
Maid in Manhattan (d)
So I guess that brings the total to 6. Not very many really…

2. Last movie I bought:
Does Harry Connick Jr in Concert constitute a movie? Hope so, I can’t remember the last one before that…

3. Last movie I watched: The Chronicles of Riddick (under protest… it was Flick’s choice)

4. Five movies that mean a lot to me (in no particular order):
Whale Rider because it screams ‘home’ to me.
Pride and Prejudice because it is true to the book and takes a whole day to watch (including meal breaks).
Amelie because it’s in French, and it’s beautiful, and it has a happy ending.
Pretty Woman because it’s an old friend.
Shawshank Redemption because of the impact it made on me.

5. Tag three people:
Smudgie;Jack the Lass and Semele.

Under Protest

May 20, 2005 by

I am jealous of Fi at the moment who is living a girls dream of a house to herself and slew of chick flicks to churn through.

Me? I have watched Changing Lanes last night at a girlfriend’s place because the girls were all chick flicked out and now? Now I am sitting with Flick in front of The Chronicles of Riddick.

This is not my kind of movie.

No Sir.

I would go to bed but the circus down below us is proving rather loud. Yep, you heard me right… the circus. Not a animalian cirucus. A human one, that has a big top with lots of bright lights. And loud music. Andrea and Sarah singing “Time to Say Goodbye” is entertaining the whole of Manly as I write…

Anyway, I spent the morning having breakfast at Deck 23, and then went to Ikea.

I Ikea. Cheap candles and the promise of a new desk, once I have tidied my room.

Now… that’s an incentive to make space and clear out the historical costumes from the tip that is my room…

Inspirationally Challenged

May 19, 2005 by

I have had little to report because I have been very busy doing this. Happily it is nearly finished so I can finish their other site and get my teeth into the last few pages of my ‘construction site’ (I’ll show you those ones later). I have also been working on what I think is a rather funny site all for myself. I’ll show you that one when I’m actually hosting it…

So, there is very little time for other things, I honestly think that I am welded to the Dell. It can’t be good for me.
But I love it. Guess that’s how an addict feels eh?

Anyway, it’s midnight and I am feeling rather proud of myself for finishing the cw site. I would like to point out that I can take absolutely no credit for the design. I just made a series of pictures interactive. There are a few glitches that I have no control over so forgive it if it skips a bit between one or two of the transitions. Overall though I am not ashamed to tell people the code is all my own work.
